The fickle waters of the Verdon river have formed the landscape of our region. They have hollowed out the rocks in a turbulent and impetuous way to twist themselves through Europe’s biggest canyon. Now that the waters have calmed down, they have settled into lakes favourable for swimming and water sports.

In this country of Giono and Pagnol, everything smells like the Provence. This environment of green oaks and scrubland is filled with small villages made out of old stones, where the typical Provençal markets can be visited. 

Those who love sports can enjoy the many hiking tracks, the via ferrata or the steep parts of the Verdon, whilst those who love relaxing can let themselves be drifted away under the Provençal sun at the beaches of the Sainte Croix lake.
